Distributed Fault Monitoring Device for Transmission Lines
The monitoring device is installed on the transmission conductor. It captures the fault traveling wave components and power frequency components of the line. By applying intelligent diagnostic technology, it performs automatic and rapid diagnosis for different fault types. The device enables abnormal discharge monitoring and early warning, fault section location, precise fault location, fault cause identification, and lightning strike characteristic monitoring.

Working Principle

When abnormal discharge or fault-induced tripping occurs on a transmission line, a traveling wave current is generated at the anomaly point. Monitoring terminals installed along the line capture and analyze these signals, enabling intelligent early warning and rapid diagnosis of abnormal line conditions.
